As E&I QA/QC Engineer you ensure that electrical and instrument installations meet project specifications, codes, and quality standards by developing quality plans, conducting site inspections (cabling, grounding, instruments), witnessing tests (continuity, calibration, loop checks), managing documentation (NCRs, ITRs), and overseeing supplier quality, ultimately ensuring system safety and reliability.
Function
Quality Planning: Develop, review, and implement E&I Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and procedures.
Perform material receiving inspections (cables, panels, instruments).
Monitor site activities like cable laying, termination, grounding, and instrument installation.
Witness FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), site tests, and commissioning activities.
Verify calibration, continuity, insulation resistance, and functional tests.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and manage quality records, inspection requests, and daily/weekly reports.
Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.
Review and approve Mechanical Completion dossiers and Inspection Release Notes (IRNs).
Supplier & Subcontractor Management:
Review vendor documentation, quality plans, and procedures.
Monitor contractor performance and quality compliance.
System Compliance: Ensure adherence to project specifications, industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and codes (e.g., HAZOP, SIL).
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and construction teams.
Requirements
Experience working on large scale projects as QAQC Engineer
